Ahmed Custard Powder Vanilla is a vanilla-flavoured mix for making custard with milk, in a 285g pack. Ahmed Foods is a Pakistani brand. Across South Asia, custard like this is the base for fruit custard, trifle and chilled puddings.

How to use

• Mix the powder with a little cold milk to a smooth paste first, so it does not form lumps.
• Stir the paste into hot milk with sugar to taste and keep stirring until it thickens; the pack gives the amounts.
