Ambika Jaggery Powder 500g

Ambika Jaggery Powder is jaggery, the traditional cane sweetener known as gur or gud, in loose powder form, in a 500g pack. Ambika Japan says it is made by drying concentrated sugarcane juice, gives India as the origin, and lists calcium hydroxide and okra extract as a thickener after sugarcane. As a powder it can be measured by the spoon and mixes in without grating a block.

How to use

• Sweeten chai, coffee or a hot lemon and ginger drink with a spoonful.
• Use it like sugar in cakes, cookies and pitha for a caramel taste and colour.
• Add a pinch to sambar or a barbecue marinade to balance the spices.
• Keep dry and sealed, away from sunlight; damp powder can clump.
