Mehran Kheer Mix 155g

Mehran Kheer Mix is a ready mix for kheer, the South Asian rice and milk pudding, in a 155g packet. The Pakistani food maker lists rice, sugar, pistachio and green cardamom, with artificial screw pine (kewra) flavouring, as its ingredients. You add the milk.

How to use

• Bring 1 litre of milk to the boil with 2 to 3 tablespoons of milk powder, stirring for 5 to 10 minutes.
• Tip in the whole packet and cook on medium heat for another 5 to 10 minutes, stirring often, until the kheer thickens.
• Scatter sliced pistachio or almond on top and chill it in the fridge before serving.
• Make a pot for Eid, a family dawat or a weekend dessert.
