JB Dry Fish (Shrimp)

JB Dry Fish (Shrimp) is a 200g pack of halal dried shrimp, called chingri shutki in Bengali. A small handful adds a concentrated seafood taste to vegetables and bhorta, and the pack has the strong smell typical of dried seafood.

How to use

• Rinse, then dry-fry in a pan for a minute to bring out the aroma.
• Cook with bottle gourd (lau), potato or leafy greens in the Bangladeshi style.
• Fry with onion, garlic and chilli, then mash for chingri shutki bhorta.
• Reseal after opening and store as directed on the pack.
