(AB+) Grade Japanese Rice 10kg

AB+ Grade Japanese Rice is short-grain Japanese rice in a 10 kg pack. The grains cook soft and a little sticky, which works for everyday plain rice and for dishes that should turn creamy, such as payesh or kheer. It is one of several grades of Japanese rice the shop stocks.

How to use

• For plain rice, wash until the water runs fairly clear and cook in a rice cooker or a heavy pot with a tight lid.
• For payesh, simmer a handful of washed rice slowly in milk with sugar and cardamom until soft and thick.
• Leftover cooked rice fries well the next day.
