JB Chepa Sutki 200g

JB Chepa Shutki is a 200g pack of halal chepa shutki, the semi-fermented dried fish of Bangladesh. Traditionally, small fish, most often punti, are sun-dried and then fermented in sealed earthen pots without salt, giving a firm, sticky texture and a very strong smell.

How to use

• Fry with plenty of onion, garlic and dried chilli in mustard oil, then mash for chepa shutki bhorta.
• Cook it with potato, aubergine or beans into a thick shutki curry to eat with rice.
• The smell is strong while cooking, so open a window or run the extractor fan.
• Delivered chilled; store as directed on the pack.
