JB Katla Whole Cut 2kg

JB Katla Whole Cut is a whole halal katla, cut into pieces, in a 2kg pack. Katla, also spelled catla, is a large freshwater carp from the rivers and lakes of Bangladesh, India and neighbouring countries, and one of the everyday fish of Bengali cooking.

How to use

• Rub the pieces with turmeric and salt and fry them lightly before they go into a curry.
• Simmer in kalia, a thick onion-and-spice gravy, or a thinner jhol with potato.
• If the head is in the pack, cook it with rice or moong dal as muri ghonto.
• Delivered chilled; keep it as the pack directs.
