Padma Pabda Blk 500g

Padma Pabda Fish is a 500g pack of halal pabda, a small freshwater catfish from Bengal. The flesh is soft and pale with only a central bone, and in Bangladesh and West Bengal it is usually cooked whole in a thin, lightly spiced gravy.

How to use

• Cook as pabda jhol with tomato, slit green chilli and a handful of coriander leaves.
• Simmer in mustard paste with turmeric and mustard oil for shorshe pabda.
• The fish is delicate, so fry lightly, turn it only once and shake the pan rather than stirring.
• Store as directed on the pack.
