Padma Big Katla Cut 1kg

Padma Big Katla Cut is a 1kg pack of halal katla in ready-cut pieces. Katla, also written catla or katol, is a carp with a notably large head and firm, flaky flesh, cooked in Bengali homes for weekday meals and for festive dishes alike.

How to use

• Rinse gently and drain in a colander so the pieces stay whole.
• Fry the pieces, then simmer in a mustard and green chilli sauce for sorshe katla.
• Cook as doi katla, with the fried fish finished in a lightly spiced yoghurt gravy.
• Belly pieces (peti), if included, carry more fat and are good simply fried.
• Delivered chilled; store as directed on the pack.
