Padma Deshi Mola Clean 250g

Padma Deshi Mola (Cleaned) is a 250g pack of halal mola, a tiny silvery freshwater fish related to carps, listed as already cleaned. Deshi is the Bengali word for local. Mola are small enough to cook and eat whole, head and fine bones included.

How to use

• Rinse gently in a colander; the fish are delicate and break easily.
• Cook in a thin jhol with diced potato, green chilli and a pinch of turmeric.
• Fry with plenty of sliced onion until the fish turn crisp at the edges.
• Add a handful to leafy greens (shak) near the end of cooking.
• Delivered chilled; store as directed on the pack.
