Padma Ruhi Small Cut 1kg

Padma Ruhi Small Cut is halal rui, or rohu, a freshwater carp cut into small pieces, in a 1kg pack. It comes from Myanmar, according to Padma, which sells it frozen. Rui is the everyday fish of Bengali kitchens, and smaller pieces cook through quickly.

How to use

• Rub with turmeric and salt and fry until golden before adding to any gravy, so the pieces hold together.
• Cook as rui macher kalia with onion, ginger, cumin and garam masala.
• Simmer in a winter jhol with cauliflower, potato and peas.
• Delivered chilled/frozen; store as directed on the pack.
