Mehran Basmati Kernel Rice comes here in a 5 kg pack, sized for families and kitchens that cook basmati several times a week. The long grains lengthen as they cook and stay separate rather than sticky, which is what biryani and pulao need.

How to use

• Rinse and soak the rice for 20 to 30 minutes before cooking.
• For a large pot of biryani, boil the soaked rice until about three-quarters done, drain it, then layer it over the cooked meat and finish on low heat.
• Keep the opened pack sealed, or move the rice to a clean airtight container, somewhere cool and dry.
