About this product
Bhumi Rayo Gundruk is gundruk, the fermented dried leafy green of Nepal, made from rayo mustard leaves, in a 100g pack. Ambika Japan lists Nepal as the origin and mustard leaves as the only ingredient. Its sour, earthy taste is the base of gundruk ko jhol, a soup served with rice.
How to use
- Soak in water for 10 to 15 minutes, squeeze out the water and chop.
- For jhol, fry it with onion, tomato, garlic and chilli, then simmer with water or cooked lentils.
- Toss with fried soybeans, onion and chilli for gundruk sadeko.
- Keep in a cool, dry place and use soon after opening, as Ambika advises.
