Chaokoh Coconut Milk (400ml)

Chaokoh Coconut Milk is coconut milk from Thailand in a 400ml can. Its Japanese importer, Allied Corporation, lists coconut and citric acid as the ingredients and says the fat level is well suited to Thai curry. It is just as useful in South Asian curries and in desserts.

How to use

• Keep unopened cans at room temperature, as the importer advises.
• Fry green or red curry paste in the thick cream from the top of the can, then add the rest with chicken or vegetables.
• Cook rice in it with a pinch of salt for coconut rice, or use it for sago pudding.
• Move leftovers to a covered container in the fridge and use them soon.
