About this product
Pani Puri Papad is dried, ready-to-fry discs that puff up into the hollow puris used for pani puri, in a 200 g pack. Padma, a food importer in Misato, Saitama, lists India as the origin. Pani puri is known as golgappa in North India and phuchka in Bangladesh and Kolkata.
How to use
- Heat the oil well and fry a few discs at a time; they puff up within seconds.
- Drain on paper and let them cool so they stay crisp.
- Crack a small hole in the top, fill with mashed potato and chickpeas, then dip in spiced tamarind or mint water.
- Close the pack tightly after opening so the papad stays dry.
