Padma Rice Flour 1kg

Padma Rice Flour is ground rice flour in a 1 kg pack, sold in Japan under the Padma name. In Bengali kitchens it is known as chaler gura, the base for homemade pitha and soft rice rotis.

How to use

• Pour hot water over the flour with a pinch of salt, knead into a soft dough and roll out chaler ruti to cook on a dry tawa.
• Use it for winter pitha such as chitoi, bhapa and patishapta.
• Add a spoonful to the batter for pakora or beguni for a crisper coating.
• Close the pack well after opening and keep it dry.
