Pran Chinigura Rice 1kg

Pran Chinigura Rice is chinigura, a small-grained aromatic rice, in a 1 kg pouch. PRAN lists Bangladesh as the origin. The short grains cook quickly and fill the kitchen with aroma, which is why chinigura is the rice many Bengali cooks use for polao, khichuri and rice desserts.

How to use

• Rinse gently two or three times; the small grains break if rubbed hard.
• For polao, fry the rice in ghee with whole spices, then cook covered in measured water.
• Simmer in sweetened milk for firni or payesh.
• Cook with moong dal for khichuri.
