Padma Thai Rice 5kg

Padma Thai Rice is long-grain Thai white rice in a 5 kg pack, sold in Japan under the Padma name. Known in Japanese as タイ米, it cooks up lighter and less sticky than Japanese rice, which suits curry nights and fried rice.

How to use

• Wash it two or three times until the water runs mostly clear.
• Cook by absorption in a pot or rice cooker, or boil in plenty of water and drain, as many South Asian homes do.
• Serve with dal, fish curry or chicken bhuna, and use leftover rice the next day for fried rice.
