Ambika Rajma Chitkabra are dried speckled kidney beans in a 1 kg pack, reddish brown and kidney-shaped. Ambika lists India as the origin and notes they are also called rajma chitra or pinto beans.

How to use

• Soak overnight, drain, then boil or pressure-cook until soft all the way through.
• Cook into rajma curry with onion, tomato, ginger and garam masala.
• Serve with steamed rice or chapati.
• Keep in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, and seal the pack well after opening.
