Ambika Kitchen King 100g

Ambika Kitchen King Masala is a ground spice blend in a 100 g pack, made mainly for bean, lentil and vegetable dishes. Ambika Japan suggests it as an easy first spice mix and as a base curry powder you can adjust with your own spices. It lists the blend as made in India from coriander, fenugreek, chilli, turmeric, cumin, mustard, ginger, nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves and cardamom, plus salt.

How to use

• Cook it into sabzi, such as okra, green beans or mixed vegetables, once the onion is soft.
• Stir a spoonful into rajma, chana or a simple dal.
• Add extra chilli or garam masala if you like it hotter; the mix already contains salt.
