Ambika Turmeric Powder 500g

Ambika Turmeric Powder is ground turmeric, known as haldi in Hindi, in a larger 500 g pack for kitchens that cook curry several times a week. Ambika lists India as the origin and turmeric as the only ingredient. It is used mainly for its yellow colour, with an earthy taste in the background.

How to use

• Fry it well in oil with the other spices, as Ambika advises, so the raw taste cooks out.
• Mix a little with oil into uncooked rice to make yellow turmeric rice.
• Ambika also suggests it for potato dishes, pakora batter and goya champuru.
• Keep the pack closed, cool and dry, away from sunlight.
