Chicken Biryani Masala (National)

National Chicken Biryani Masala is a ready spice mix for making chicken biryani, in a 45 g pack. A biryani mix gathers the spices for the meat layer into one packet, so the chicken can be seasoned in a single step before the rice goes on top.

How to use

• Check the pack for how much chicken and rice one packet is meant to season.
• Cook the chicken with fried onion, yoghurt, tomato and the masala until the sauce thickens.
• Layer part-boiled rice over the chicken, cover tightly and steam on low heat until the grains are done.
• Taste before adding salt, as ready biryani mixes often contain some.
