Bashundhara Cumin Powder 200g

Bashundhara Cumin Powder is ground cumin, also called jeera powder, in a 200 g pack. It comes from the Bangladeshi brand Bashundhara, and a Japanese importer that stocks the same pack gives Bangladesh as its origin. Its warm, earthy flavour is one of the building blocks of an everyday Bengali curry.

How to use

• Stir it into the pan with turmeric, chilli and coriander powder to build the masala for a fish or chicken curry.
• Work a teaspoon into minced meat for kofta or shami kebab.
• Dry-roast a few spoonfuls until darker and keep them aside to sprinkle over chotpoti or plain yoghurt.
• Close the pack firmly after use and keep it dry.
