JB Cinnamon Stick Whole 100g

JB Cinnamon Stick Whole is dried cinnamon bark in rolled pieces, in a 100 g pack. Known as darchini in Bangla, Hindi and Urdu, whole cinnamon scents the cooking oil for rice and meat dishes and is also simmered in milk sweets.

How to use

• Break off a 2 to 3 cm piece for a pot of polao, korma or rezala and add it to the oil with the other whole spices.
• Drop a small piece into payesh or shemai while the milk simmers.
• Lift the pieces out before serving, as the bark stays hard.
• Grind a few pieces with cardamom and cloves for home-made garam masala.
