MDH Biryani Masala 50g

MDH Biryani Masala is a ground spice mix for chicken, mutton or vegetable biryani, in a 50 g pack. Ambika Japan gives India as the origin and lists black pepper, cassia, chilli, cardamom seed, clove, green cardamom, mace and cinnamon, with no salt in the list.

How to use

• MDH's direction: heat oil or ghee, add the masala, water and pre-soaked rice, then the chicken or mutton pieces and a pinch of saffron or turmeric, and cook as usual.
• Season with salt yourself, as none is listed in the blend.
• Ambika Japan notes it also suits a meat-free biryani made with soy chunks.
• Seal the pack well after opening and keep it away from heat and damp.
