Mehran Bombay Biryani 60g

Mehran Bombay Biryani Masala is a spice mix for Bombay-style biryani, in a 60 g pack from Pakistan. Bombay biryani is known for adding potato and dried plums (aloo bukhara) to the meat layer, which is then covered with rice and steamed.

How to use

• Fry onions in oil until golden, add the meat, tomatoes and yoghurt, and cook until the meat is soft.
• Stir in the masala and simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. Add potato cubes at this stage for the Bombay style.
• Boil the rice separately, spread it over the meat, cover tightly and leave on low heat to steam.
• Check the pack for how much meat and rice one packet seasons, and before adding salt.
