Paya Masala Mehran 50g

Mehran Paya Masala is a ready spice mix for paya, the slow-cooked curry of beef or mutton trotters, in a 50 g pack. A retailer lists it for both beef and mutton paya and notes that a step-by-step recipe comes with it.

How to use

• Boil and drain the cleaned trotters first, then add the masala and cook as the recipe on the pack describes.
• Fry sliced onion with ginger and garlic, add the trotters and masala, then simmer gently for several hours until the meat comes away from the bone.
• Serve the thin, spiced gravy hot with naan or plain rice, with lemon, green chilli and shredded ginger on the side.
